Zinc oxide is an inorganic and insoluble (in water) additive. It is used in a very wide variety of industries and products such as rubber for vulcanization activation, such as paints and coating for its anti-UV and anti-corrosion properties, in ceramics for its high thermal capacity, heat conductivity and high temperature stability. It is also used in pharma (antibacterial, etc.), in food as an additive (zinc is a nutrient) and in many other applications.

A different production process for a more performant end product: Our partner is not using the conventional "white seal" production process. Active zinc oxide, thanks to its specific production process, has the following particularities:
- Free metals are removed from Zinc in the process. This allows a better quality and better ageing property to the rubber over time. It also allows this zinc oxide to be used in pharma/food were free metals are not allowed.
- Surface area is 3 to 5 times higher than the white seal zinc oxide. You will be able to use less material for the same result in your rubber vulcanization
- It is transparent and is therefore suitable for many applications where the colour should not be altered.

Multiple grades available: Depending on your application, multiple grade of active zinc oxide could be supplied. Chemical and physical properties will vary significantly as well as the price.
