Concrete & mortar self-healing fiber
Clover-type Poly-Propylen (PP) self-healing and reinforcing fiber
The fiber that reinforces your concrete & mortar and repairs the cracks by itself
Product
Incorporate this fiber in your concrete and mortar mixture. Firstly, its physical properties will reinforce your cementicious matrix thanks to its tenacity and bonding capacity and thus reduce cracking propension. Secondly, its chemical properties will bring self-healing capacity to your mixture. Typically used in technical buildings such as projected mortar for tunnels
Characteristics
Self-healing: When the cement gets wet, calcium ions from the cement surface react with water's carbonate, creating a deposit of calcium carbonate that sticks to the fiber and "heals" the cracks
Great adherence: Excellent bonding with the cementicious matrix and good tenacity for reinforcing the cement & mortar. The fiber is modified to create a clover-type cross-section fiber increasing the contact surface for reinforcement properties and self-healing properties
Resistance: The fiber has an excellent alkali resistance over time, heat resistance (PDSC 165°C) and aging resistance (100% retention over 35 years)
Excellent dispersion: An even dispersion allows for a good netting of the fibers in the cement and increases the reinforcing properties
