Product
Calcium stearate is a carboxylate of calcium which is insoluble in water and most solvent. Coupled with its very low toxicity, the specificities of this product makes its suitable for a wide range of applications. In concrete industry, it is widely used for its water-repelling characteristic but also for preventing efflorescence (e.g., cement blocks). In plastic industry, calcium stearate is used as an acid scavenger, a lubricant and a release agent. Finally, it is also used in the pharmaceutical industry as anti-cacking agent and in food industry as a flow agent and surface conditioner.
